Leading USA cable News Network (CNN) again listed Uganda as one of the best tourism destinations to visit in the year 2023. Here are some of the top areas of interests to visit in Uganda.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a national park in southwestern Uganda. It is home to about half of the world's population of mountain gorillas, as well as many other species of wildlife. The park is located in the Buhoma region of the country and is known for its dense forests and rugged terrain, which make it difficult to access and gorilla trekking especially in July, June and August when trekking is at its peak. The park has multiple entrances which include Queen Elizabeth National park to the northern which is about 2 to 3 hours by road, another access is by a 6 to 8 hour drive from Kampala through Mbarara city or 1 to 2 hours from Kabale town to the south. All these routes converge at Butogota which is 17 Kilometers fro, the buhoma entrance. There is also a daily bus service leaves Kampala for Butogota via Rukungiri and Kihiihi.

Sipi Falls is a series of three beautiful waterfalls located in the Sipi area in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The falls are located on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife and vegetation. The falls are a popular tourist destination in Uganda, and are known for their scenic beauty and the opportunity they provide for activities such as hiking, bird watching, nature and village walks, rock climbing, Mt Elgon hiking, Bugisu Arabic Coffee tour, Visiting Sisiyi falls and Fly fishing among others. Uganda has a tropical climate with two rainy seasons hence temperature are relatively warm and steady throughout the year. This implies that sipi falls can be visited at any desirable time of the year. To experience the cool environment and weather in the area, the dry seasons are more desirable since the trail up to the highest waterfall point is not slippery however, it should be noted that water falls grow larger and flow with more intensity during the rainy season.

Lake Mburo National Park is a national park located in Uganda. It is situated in Kiruhura District, approximately 37 miles (60 km) by road west of Mbarara, the largest city in the Western Region of Uganda. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, elands, buffalo, hyenas, hippos and several species of antelope. It is also home to a large number of bird species, including pelicans, herons, and cormorants. It was named the 3rd best national park in Africa and is the most virgin places a wildlife viewer can ever visit in Uganda. The park is known for its diverse array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and several species of antelope. It is also home to over 470 species of birds, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers. The park is located in a semi-arid region, and the landscape is characterized by savanna grasslands and Acacia woodlands. Visitors to the park can enjoy activities such as game drives, Mount Morungole view, guided nature walks, and cultural visits to local Karamojong and Acholi villages.

Lake Bunyonyi is a beautiful lake located in southwestern Uganda, near the border with Rwanda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa about 2,952 ft. It is located 7 kilometers west of kabale Town and is share by Kabale and Kisoro Districts, and is surrounded by rolling hills and terraced farmland. The lake is known for its clear, clean water and is a popular destination for swimming, boating, and bird watching. There are also 29 small islands including punishment/Akampene, Bucuranuka, Njuyeera, Kahugye and bushara islands on the lake that can be visited. The lake is located in a region of Uganda known for its beautiful natural scenery and friendly local people.

The gorge is home to a group of endangered chimpanzees, as well as other primates such as baboons and black-and-white colobus monkeys. The gorge is also home to a variety of bird species, including the African grey parrot and the Ross's turaco.
