Unchained, Yvonne Kushe's debut album, is her official stance about establishing her own power and setting boundaries. Unchained features two musicians that enjoy experimenting with genre and style, exposing new textures with each listen. And it's all led by a guiding light: Yvonne's voice.
This album has a very personal feel to it. It satisfies a creative hunger that simply dragging and dropping tunes into a Spotify playlist does not. It brims with enthusiasm, lovesick missives to potential significant others that are both meticulous and elusive. Not the regular Ugandan music we've been hearing.
