Home and Away star Matt Evans was ‘slammed up against the rocks’ suffered a bloody injury to his hand.

What Happened?

The soap star, 27, got caught in a rip while surfing at Bronte beach on Sunday and was immediately rushed to hospital.

He was taken to the emergency wing at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney with his friend Jaime Robbie Reyne to get his wounds taken care of.

He Is Good Now

He appeared well now, as the singer shared several pictures to his Instagram Stories of the ordeal. 

The first showed him moments after being rescued, sporting a big grin as he showed off several bleeding grazes and cuts.

‘The sea was angry that day my friend,’ read the caption which was written by Matt’s friend singer-songwriter Jaime RR.

How it Happened

Matt later took to Instagram once again to share a video with his followers which explained what happened to him.

‘It’s all smiles in these stories, but… I just got caught in a rip at Bronte with a massive set,’ he explained as he showed off the scabs covering his healing hand. 

‘Turned out a very lucky guy because it could have been much, much worse. I got slammed up against the rocks and I was very lucky.
