James Corden And His Wife Julia Carey Grace The Red Carpet In New York City Following The Announcement Of The Return Of His Beloved TV Series, Gavin And Stacey

James Corden exuded timeless elegance as he graced the Met Gala red carpet on Monday, shortly after confirming the revival of his beloved series, Gavin and Stacey.

The British funnyman, aged 45, epitomized sophistication in a classic black and white tuxedo paired with a sleek bow tie. His ensemble was impeccably finished with formal olive-green alligator Oxford leather shoes.

Accompanying James was his wife, Julia Carey, who radiated in a lovely shade of pink at the star-studded affair. Julia, aged 47, looked resplendent in a floor-length sheath dress resembling oak wood, adorned with delicate pink, green, and white leaf motifs extending over a meter in length. Her ensemble exuded grace, complemented by olive green satin stilettos and dangling pearl earrings.

This appearance followed James’s exciting announcement of Gavin and Stacey’s return on Friday, commemorated by a black and white snapshot featuring himself and Ruth Jones holding the script for the forthcoming special.

He captioned the post: ‘Some news… It’s official!!! We’ve finished writing the very last episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. I love Ruth and James.’

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City hosts the Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition annually on the first Monday in May.

This year, the event is titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, with the dress code themed as The Garden of Time.
